Fund Raising

Individual Sponsorship: The first Scholarships of $2,500 each will be awarded to Law Student(s) on November 17, 2018. The Foundation projects that it will meet its first year's goal.

Corporate Sponsorship:

  • $5000 - Benefactor Level Sponsors: JSSF is in conversation with potential corporate donors at this point.
  • $2500 - Signature Level Sponsors: ESPE Pest Management LLC will sponsor a skills training and career coaching programs and Seminars for the student(s) in their third year of Law School that have been awarded the JSSF grant.
  • $1000 - Select Level Sponsors: Friends & Family are making contributions toward the first year in which the foundation will make the first Scholarships.

JSSF History Timeline:

  • February 2017: Jessica’s passing in December 2016 prompted those who loved her and wanted to honor her memory to establish a Foundation in Jessica's name with the purpose of raising funds to establish a Scholarship fund that can provide two Scholarships a year to two Law Students of Hispanic heritage whose interests and goals align with those of Jessica.
  • February 2017: Research into the possibility to start a Foundation started.
  • March through May, 2017: extensive research was done in consultation with two attorneys and the assistance of an organization expert in the non-profit field.
  • June 2017: Development of additional explanations to be attached to the IRS 501©3 tax except status application for the IRS. Status pending.
  • July 2017: embarked on corporate fundraising efforts within and outside of the Hispanic-American community.
  • July 2017: JSSF has been in contact with a couple of Networking & Mentorship Programs for Law students and recently graduates to inquire about their requirements and availability.
