JULIO'S SANDWICH SHOP
Julio's Sandwich Shop was established February 7, 1981, by Julio Garcia. He retired from Publix Supermarkets as a Manager of the Warehouse Cafeteria. Julio's was originally located on Kentucky Ave. down by the railroad tracks. George Fouts Jr., Julio's nephew, came aboard next to carry on the tradition. George moved Julio's to the current address, 1825 E. Edgewood Dr. after many years of being downtown. The new location had a drive thru and a parking lot.
George Jr. had plenty of help with his wife, Patty, his sister Bev and his father, George Fouts Sr. besides the folks that worked for him at the shop. In April 2013, Joe and Lisa Franco bought the business from cousin Patty. The Franco's have added just a few things like a credit card machine, a press for those of whom like pressed cubans and candied nuts. Today, we are adding a website, online ordering and a touchscreen system for quicker turn around.
