David j. Hoerner

As a native of Montana, David J. Hoerner, was familiar with the backcountry long before he became a pilot. His boyhood home was just outside the border of Glacier National Park where he grew up hunting and fishing the backcountry of Montana, and was a logger before learning to fly. He is now a commercial pilot with over 30,000 hours of flying in Alaska and Montana. Dave is a Flight Operations Director and Chief Pilot, providing flight training for airplanes and helicopters. He is a Certified Flight Instructor for Airplanes and Helicopters and a FAA certified pilot examiner. Over the years he has identified, carried and relocated wolves and grizzly bears using his airplane. His lifetime experiences of flying over the wilds of Western Montana and Alaska make him an expert in Mountain flying techniques. Dave has two children, Ryan and Bree, and resides in Kalispell Montana.
