Chanbara

"Chanbara is a safe sword fighting sport that brings thousand year old techniques into the 21st Century."

Chanbara is a member of the Japanese Department of Education /Recreation with over 320,000 combatants strong.
Uses safe equipment and lets participants battle at 100% of their strength,without risk of injury.
Students learn fine and gross motor skills, as well as athleticism and good sportsmanship.
Classes are fun and engaging, the cardio benefits are amazing,and classes benefit students with attention deficit.
The students also learn the ancient samurai methods which builds discipline and self control.
Sensei Dane is the only one in El Paso officially certified to teach it.

Sensei says "I've trained in all the martial arts, however Chanbara is absolutely one of the funnest, and once you start you won't want to stop."

Through the use of professional padded, wooden, and metal weapons, master the body and mind
Learn the ancient weapons of the Karate masters nunchaku, sai, kama, bo, tonfa, and the samurai sword, for a great workout.
Master hand and eye coordination and triple arm strength.
Safe full contact sparring using Action Flex weaponry (sparring is optional depending on your age and goals)
Get a true taste of real combat, and learn practical application
Learn the way of the samurai sword and become more centered in everyday life
