2017 Camp Commissioners / Guest Speakers
Coach Steve “The Bear” Sheppard
Coach Sheppard will serve as Associate Director of the camp. Coach Sheppard, an All-ACC player at the University of MD, participated on the United States national basketball team which won a gold medal at the 1976 Olympics. Sheppard went on to play in the NBA with the Chicago Bulls and the Detroit Pistons and then spent 3 years in Italy, as one of the first Americans to play overseas. Coach Sheppard has coached and mentored area youths for over 30 years and has assisted coach Glick with camp since 2000. Coach Sheppard and his wife of 32 years, Remy, have 1 child-Steve Jr. (30).
Coach Spencer Way III (Trey)
Coach Trey, completing his ninth season the Head JV Boys Basketball Coach and Assistant Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Gwynn Park High School will serve as Associate Director of the camp. Coach Trey played collegiately at St. Mary’s College where he graduated in 2007 with a BS in Political Science. An excellent teacher of the game, developer of fundamentals and motivator, Coach Trey is regarded as one of the top up and coming coaches in the Mid-Atlantic area. He also coaches AAU basketball with Team Takeover.
Coach Josh Pratt
Coach Pratt, completing his second season as the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Huntingtown High School and twelve seasons overall as a head HS coach, will serve as Associate Director of the camp. Previously, he assisted Coach Glick for eleven years in helping build nationally ranked HS programs. Coach Pratt played collegiately atNewberry College where he graduated in 2000 with a BS in Elementary Education. Coach Pratt and his wife of 7 years, Jeannie, have 2 children -Joey (6) and Jameson (4).
Guest Speakers
There will be several guest speakers during the camp week. Our goal is to bring in some of the finest basketball players and coaches in the area, who will provide insight on the fundamentals taught during the week.

St. Mary’s); and many more.
