Carol S. Chong

Carol S. Chong has over fifteen years of experience in healthcare performance improvement initiatives and revenue cycle consulting at multi-hospital health systems, academic medical centers, community-based hospitals, physician practice plans, and health plans. She specializes in project managing revenue cycle performance transformation initiatives in order to assist her clients with achieving operational and financial excellence. Prior projects include the implementation of an electronic health record system, a professional scheduling and billing system conversion, project management of a clinical hospital denial management committee, strategic development and completion of a health information system conversion concurrent with a business office consolidation, development and implementation of a program management office for a national health plan for compliance remediation, and interim patient access management.

She received her Master of Healthcare Administration and Master of Accounting from the University of North Carolina.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature, with Honors from the University of Maryland.

Catherine (Kate) Clark, CPC, CRCE‐I, CRIP

Kate Clark is a healthcare professional with twenty years of experience in revenue cycle consulting for multi-hospital health systems, individual hospitals, physician practice plans and central business offices, as well as free-standing ambulatory surgery centers and ancillary service providers.

Specializing in revenue cycle and technology implementations, Kate has assisted health systems throughout the country with chargemaster assessments, compliance reviews, charge capture improvements, in addition to electronic health record implementations, conversions and optimizations. She has also worked on coding reviews and operational improvement plans for numerous clinical specialty areas. She brings strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of the revenue cycle that allow her to quickly identify issues and create solutions to improve revenue cycle performance.

Kate is the current National American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM) Education Chair, past President and Chairman of the Board of the Maryland AAHAM Chapter, as well as the past Vice President of the Charm City Chapter of the American Academy of Professional Coders. She is the recent recipient of the Maryland AAHAM Chapter’s Carlton R. Bennett Memorial Award for Distinguished Service. She is a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Revenue Cycle Executive (CRCE-I), and Certified Revenue Integrity Professional (CRIP). She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with Honors from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
