     Since 1997, I have been working with adults living with chronic health conditions including heart disease, diabetes, obesity, cancer, stroke, progressive neurological diseases, and mental health disorders. I then became a patient myself at 46, having had a pulmonary embolism. All these years, all these patients, and I felt completely out of control with my own health. I was overweight. My diet was terrible. I did a lot of mindless eating. I was unfocused and had trouble sleeping. After a lot of self-directed research, I learned that the food I was eating, known as the standard American diet (SAD), likely contributed more than I would have ever imagined to my condition.

      The scientific evidence for a whole food plant-based diet for preventing, treating, and reversing (yes, reversing) major chronic diseases is solid, irrefutable, and stands alone. Eating more plants has improved my health in drastic ways and in a short period of time.  I'm stronger than I was at 35 years old. I'm 40 lbs less than I was at 46. Today, I have more energy, I sleep better, and I eat all the time. I'm now living in what I consider to be my best state of health, and I look forward to showing you how you can too. There has never been a better time for building stronger health, a stronger immune system, and a stronger planet. And it can all begin in your home, in your kitchen.

When I first began my journey in 2018, I was overwhelmed with the information out there regarding food, and not just eating to lose weight, but finding the best way of eating for thriving health and longevity. The most helpful resources that I've come across happen to be nonprofit entities backed by solid scientific evidence. And that evidence is continuing to grow!
