Our Story
In 2000, co-founders and long-time friends Aaron Huberty and Dave Boekholder both experienced a loss of a loved one to a serious medical condition. After realizing similarities in their personal stories, the duo knew they had to take their experience and in turn, make a difference in the lives of those fighting cancer and their loved ones.
“Once we decided to take action, the golf outing Swing for a cure was our first event, was a golf outing, Swing For A Cure, where proceeds were donated to various cancer societies,” explained Dave, President of Someday Foundation. “The events gained popularity, and the way the community rallied behind our cause led to the decision to take things to a new level.”
To ensure the money raised was directly helping local families, Aaron and Dave turned their project into a foundation. By raising funds through outings, events and generous contributions from individual donors, the Someday Foundation is able to help families cover the day-to-day expenses as they focus on the fight against cancer or other serious medical crises. Gas, parking and money for food during treatment can be the simple expenses that make continuing treatment a financial hardship on someone during a very difficult time.
Thanks to your support, we are able to financially assist over 400 families throughout Wisconsin, Iowa and Illinois that need a helping hand. Your support of our foundation and the events we host makes a huge impact on the lives of the recipients, and allows them to focus their energy on treatment and not on the overdue bills.
Thank you!
