Family and Friends/Role of the Social Circle

My wife, Lea, and I have been married for 47 years with two sons who are working in the high tech industry, and we have 5 grandchildren. My wife and I maintained a dual career household for many years. As such, I’m familiar with the challenges of maintaining work-life balance. It’s not easy. No marriage or family is perfect and it takes effort and planning to be successful.

Substance abuse is not limited to the person dealing with addiction. Spouses, children, parents, and friends are all affected. While providing primary counsel to the individual, I also provide counseling to families. All in a casual, friendly environment.

Consultation: Designing a Recovery Plan

There are many treatment choices available to those seeking help—long-term or short-term residential programs, outpatient, individual/group/or family counseling, to name a few. It can be confusing. Not to mention expensive. I am ready to assist you in designing and implementing a practical recovery strategy that best fits your unique situation.

Aftercare Consulting/Relapse Prevention

Many professionals believe that the most effective way to address an ongoing addiction issue is enrollment in 6-12 month residential recovery program. While this may be true, it may not be feasible for many individuals. More often a 30-60 program is chosen followed by an ongoing counseling relationship and support groups such as AA/NA. One of my focuses is on people that have returned to their careers after completing short-term recovery programs. My previous experience in the business world positions me well to help clients navigate this critical transition and beyond.
