TEACHING APPROACH
Gifted Gardens Montessori offers a play-based, developmentally appropriate educational program for each unique age group.
MONTESSORI PHILOSOPHY – Gifted Garden’s Curriculum is based on Dr. Maria Montessori’s belief that children have an inborn drive to become independent. Our program encourages each child to grow and excel in the five key domains of child development: Language, Cognitive, Emotional, Physical, and Social.

PRESCHOOL THEMES
Our weekly activity plans include a calendar with art and activities based around popular pre-k themes. Preschool themes help children to explore the world around them as they learn. Some themes are found in daily life, such as rainbows and snowmen. Other themes, such as polar bears and states of matter, are meant to foster curiosity in the bigger world in which we live
FIELD TRIPS
We occasionally go on field trips related to the topics we are covering in the classroom. Our eco-friendly 7-passenger stroller allows us to take even the toddler groups to the library, community gardens, and more! Parents are encouraged to join the class during scheduled field trips
SPECIAL EVENTS AND HOLIDAYS
Parents are encouraged to share their cultures on relevant holidays and may also volunteer to visit the classroom to share any special expertise they may have in areas of creative art, music, culinary, botany, geology, dental hygiene, or animals.
GRADUATION CEREMONY
Graduation ceremonies – including Kindergarten Ceremonies -- are an important occasion for both parents and their children. In June, we will hold a graduation ceremony for all our kindergarten and elementary graduates. Graduates who choose to participate will take part in a variety of songs, dances, and demonstrations that highlight what they’ve learned throughout the year. Graduates will receive kid-friendly certificates, fun prizes, and S.T.E.M. T-shirt and baseball cap in lieu of cap and gown during Graduation!
