ABOUT SARITA

Sarita Wesley, Ph.D. LMSW received her PH.D. from Capella University and Master’s in Social Work at the College of Social Work at the University of Houston. Also, Dr. Wesley has an MBA from Phoenix University. She teaches various leadership courses and multiple universities and well-versed on the topic of leadership. She worked in the non-profit sector that primarily focused on working with individuals diagnosed with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities for over 20 years and currently works as a healthcare administrator for a Fortune 500 company.

There were many times in her career that she was not promoted due to sexism, and racism and basically told she was not a good fit for certain positions even with multiple degrees. It was at that point in her career she decided to not let determine her path and she worked harder to build her leadership skills. As a successful collegiate basketball player Dr. Wesley understands the meaning of hard work and what it takes to effectively lead others.
