Prayer to invite Jesus Christ into my life,
Father God in Heaven, thank you for giving your Son, to die in my place for my sins. I realize my sin has separated me from you. I have lived my life independent of you Lord. Lord I am asking you to please forgive me of my sins against you. I believe in your Son Jesus Christ. I believe you raised Him from the dead, just as the Scriptures has said. Today I place my trust in Jesus Christ as my Lord and my Savior and I ask you Lord Jesus you come into my life and change me until I am what you created me to be. Teach me through your word Lord to live my life daily by the power of your Holy Spirit. In Jesus name,… Amen
When you choose to receive his Son Jesus Christ into your life and follow Him, God’s ears are then open to your prayers and there is much that we are in need of to live in this world as He would have us to. God and only God can supply those needs, and He will when we ask Him.
7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! (Matthew 7:7-11).
Prayer for help in times of temptation
41 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:41)
13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it…(1 Corinthians 10:13).
8 But my eyes are upon You, O GOD the Lord; In You I take refuge; …(Psalms 141:8)
3 Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips.
4 Do not incline my heart to any evil thing…. (Psalms 141:3-4)
Heavenly Father, I ask for wisdom to walk away when I am tempted, and insight to see the way out that you provide. Grant me the strength to hold my peace and avoid wrong paths and wrong decisions. Thank you Lord you are faithful to keep me from falling. In Jesus name, Amen
Prayer for direction
4 Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths.
5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
On You I wait all the day…( Psalms 25:4-5)
12 Who is the man that fears the LORD?
Him shall He teach in the way He chooses…(Psalms 25:12)
14The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him,
And He will show them His covenant….(Psalms 25:14)
8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye….( Psalms 32:8)
Heavenly father you created me for your purposes. I ask that you teach me your ways and direct me into your plan for my life. Grant me the grace to know that you see every thought and every motive that is behind everything I do and that you are concerned about those things that concern me. Put into my heart your will for me so I desire your will more than my own. In Jesus name.. Amen.
Prayer for Anxiety and Depression
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus…( Philippians 4:6-7)
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy, meditate on these things..(Philippians4:8)
3 You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You…(Isaiah 26:3)
In the mist of troubling times in our lives, remember the faithfulness of God who has for His own purposes allowed those times. Remember that trouble don’t last always
0 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5:10-11
12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit…. (Psalms 51:12)
Heavenly Father thank you that you because I place my faith in Jesus Christ, I know that you will never leave me or forsake me because that is what you said in your word. So, even as I travel through this valley of difficult times, you are there with me to see me through it. Thank you that though weeping my endure for the night seasons of my life, joy will come in the morning seasons of my life as I set my mind on you who is able to take me through any problem in my life.
