Skills Training and Game Play for 6 and 7 Year Olds

Our popular Jr. Blues program for 6 and 7 olds teaches kids critical soccer skills while also giving them the opportunity to use those skills in game play situations.

The Jr. Blues curriculum sets the foundation for development of our youngest players and is the first stage in the building blocks of our Blues FC player development pathway. Our curriculum has developed players who have competed at the highest levels, including US National Team, All-Americans and professional players.

In Jr. Blues, our professional, experienced trainers use games, obstacle courses and other age-appropriate activities to teach the kids:

• Foot skills
• Dribbling and passing
• Soccer moves
• Running with and without the ball
• Tactical development, including shape and positional awareness

At Blues FC, we believe kids of every age best learn the fundamentals of the Blues FC brand of soccer by playing, so the Jr. Blues program includes plenty of small sided games at every session.

Program Details

For 2022, we will be offering two seasons of Jr. Blues. Each season will contain three sessions. Players can register for an entire season or one session at a time.

Season 1

• Session 1: Feb 28th, March 4th, 7th, 11th, 14th, 18th, 21st, 25th.
• Session 2: March 28th, April 1st, 4th, 8th, 11th, 15th, 18th, 22nd.
• Session 3: April 25th, 29th, May 2nd, 6th, 9th, 13th, 20th, 27th.

*(No session, 16th & 23rd May, due to Tryouts)

Season 2

• Session 1: Aug 22nd, 26th, 29th, Sept 2nd, 9th, 12th, 16th, 19th.

*(No session, Sept 5th due to Labor Day)

• Session 2: Sept 23rd, 26th, 30th, Oct 3rd, 7th, 10th, 14th, 17th.
• Session 3: Oct 21st, 24th, 28th, 31st, Nov 4th, 7th, 14th, 18th.

*(No session, Nov 11th due to Veterans Day)

• When: 5 – 6 p.m. Mondays and Fridays
